While you are in Madagascar, it is hard to find a good vanilla for souvenir.

The vanilla pods are of good quality (Top Quality, called Gourmet and TK), measuring from 16 cm and up (16 cm and up) in vacuum-sealed bags. The moisture content varies from 15% to 25%. 01kg: 300,000 Ariary (60 euros) 500g: 150,000 Ariary (30 euros) 250g: 100,000 Ariary (20 euros) 100g: 50,000 Ariary (10 euros)
As for vanilla powder, the price is as follows. 01kg: 400,000 Ariary (80 euros) 500g: 200,000 Ariary (40 euros) 250g: 100,000 Ariary (20 euros) 100g: 50,000 Ariary (10 euros)
Please note that it takes more than 1kg of vanilla pods to make 1kg of vanilla powder. However, packaging the pods is much more complicated than packaging the powder for small quantities of 100g and 250g. This explains the price difference. Don't waste your time coming to see us because we are located in the eastern part of Antananarivo. We are aware that every trip takes time due to traffic jams. Therefore, we have decided to offer free delivery for all orders unless you insist on visiting our small shop. Let us know your hotel and we will deliver your order according to your availability. However, airport delivery for orders under 1kg costs an additional 30,000 Ariary (6 Euros). Payment is made in CASH in Ariary or Euros upon delivery. If paying by credit card (VISA or MASTERCARD), we add a 5% bank commission. Please inform us in good time, preferably the day before delivery, if you wish to pay by card so that we can bring the POS terminal.IN MAROANTSETRA:
We can satisfy all orders for bigger quantity in tons per year depending on your requirement. It can be delivered in Toamasina or in Antananarivo if necessary. Such contract should be negotiated before the season of green vanilla that starts on June.
MADAGASCAR VANILLA PURCHASE ORDER:
So many people resign from vanilla business because they do not meet serious suppliers who know the quality of vanilla. Our team is made of local people who worked in vanilla for many years. At each level of the process, the internal control consists to double check the stage from the green pods market up to the classification of the dry vanilla pods. The packaging depends to your purchase order. For better understanding, we can classify vanilla products into four (04) categories despite more and more marketing names that appear this last time:
- - Black Vanilla: This is the top quality of 14cm at least with batch of fatty and flexible pods ideal for fine food and culinary arts including cakes, ice cream, desserts, and dairy products. There are two sub-divisions according to the moisture content: Vanilla Gourmet has 30% - 38% moisture content and Vanilla TK or T4 has 25% - 30% of moisture content
- - Red Vanilla: That kind of vanilla is recommended for transformation into extract or oleoresin, used in food industry products, ice cream, biscuits, etc. This is a red and flexible pod of vanilla of 14cm at least. The Red US Vanilla with less than 20% moisture content differs to the Red Europe vanilla that has 20% - 25% moisture content.
- - Short vanilla pods: : This category is for all vanilla between 10cm and 14 cm without any distinction either it is split or not. The average moisture content is less than 20%
- - Vanilla Cuts: This is from very short green pods of less than 10cm and associated to the pods that are fold-up during the sun drying process. Such vanillas are packed in bulk for any shipment. The average moisture content is less than 20%.
ATTENTION!!! The price is negotiated according to the vanillin rate, the minimum size of pods in cm and their moisture content. It is also important to specify if you accept split vanilla pods for the category longer than 14cm i.e. Gourmet, TK (T4), and Red Vanilla. For short vanilla and cuts, there is no distinction of split or non split pods. It is important to be very specific while writing the purchase order.
